Lightweight curtains work with tension rods or thin metal rods. Heavy drapes need sturdy brackets and thick metal/wood rods for support.

Mount 4–6 inches above the frame to create the illusion of taller windows. For floor-length drapes, leave ½–1 inch clearance.

Bend expanded metal mesh into a frame or repurpose an old wrought iron gate. Ensure it’s at least 36 inches wide for safety.
